Unlock the Magic of Literature through Pumpkin Art

Pumpkin Decorating Contest: Celebrate the Written Word

The Book Character Pumpkin Decorating Contest is a unique opportunity to showcase your love for literature and your artistic talents. From October 14th to 21st, you can submit your pumpkin creations, which will be divided into three categories: Family/Classroom, Independent Child, and Adult. The Independent Child category will be further divided into age groups (4-7, 8-12, and 13-18), with prizes awarded to the top three entries in each.Unlike traditional jack-o'-lanterns, your pumpkins should be decorated, not carved. This ensures that your masterpieces will last longer and maintain their vibrant appearance throughout the contest period. Painting, dressing, and accessorizing your pumpkins are the preferred methods, as carved pumpkins tend to deteriorate quickly. The public will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite entries from October 22nd to 30th, and the winners will be announced on October 31st. This is your chance to showcase your creativity and bring your literary heroes to life in a unique and captivating way.
